This 1990s-era kitchen is pretty common in older homes. Not falling apart but certainly not up to today's design standards. Buyers today are looking for a more open-concept space, lighter, brighter colors and Smart-tech appliances.
The old kitchen had a lot of wasted space and needed more storage. And it had two sets of sliding doors to the back deck. So we pushed the kitchen functionality to the back of the breakfast nook, removed the sliding doors, widened the window facing the backyard and designed the cabinets in a more functional layout.
